Question XiED ViED 105

I pulled the trigger on http://sales.nightrider.com/ViED_p_13.html

For those who have installed these, where the heck can I get a clean Ground ?

Got some pics , what about keeping them from frying from the heat ???

I was thinking running the 13.8:1 for my No--Cat , Slip on Reinharts, Stage 1 download + SE A/C ....

I liked the "Adjusatbility" but love to get some feed back Pictures would be great..

Thanks in advanced

I ran my grounds to the neg. post on the battery. That way I don't worry about losing ground.

Talk to Steve about the adjustable ones before you buy them. Extra money you may not need to spend.

Bump...curious as well. On a 2011 bagger can you ground somewhere close to the side cover and not to the neg battery post?

Your's is like my 2010. It's a very simple install. Pull your right side cover. Your 02 sensor cables are side by side color coded. I'm sure you can find a good ground without going to the battery, but it's so close, I ran it to the negative battery post.

Trackadapter's is spread out more as his 02 sensors are in different place on the header pipe. When I had my 08 uc and bought the XIED'S, I ty-raped the front sensor wire down in front of the front downtube frame. Theres plenty of wire. All you have to do is keep it away from the exhaust. . Pretty simple. Steve might have a video of the install. If he doesn't, I'm sure he will be glad to talk you through it. He's a nice guy to deal with.

the rear I grounded to the starter end cover.
removed cover, put terminal "eye" over the end cover screw added locktite and replaced cover.

Ronp42...you are exactly right. Our sensors are side by side under the side cover. We will pull the panel on top of the battery to get to the neg cable.

on my 07 ultra, there are two ground points in the compartment forward of the battery under the seat. I would stay away from the battery since the battery gas will corrode the wire, often inside the insulation and you would not know it.
