It does look good and I'm sure ut is more easier to look at your GPS but I do prefer not to drill a hole in the fairing.

Anyone has options for the elctrical power cable whennot using the cigarette lighter?

Here is where I got mine from as far as the Bar Mount portion as I did not like the U-bolt that Ram uses. These have a great quality and clean look. I will try to get you pics.

Powerlet.com had some nice Ram mounts. I have the Power Bar and have a Ram Mount ball installed in it. When you take the GPS off (with the cradle, takes a few seconds to take off as one unit) the only thing left on is the bar and ball, not the GPS cradle.
Also when GPS is on, there isn't any cables running all over.

same delema you are asking for...
Wanted a clean look when the gps is off the bike...
Did not want to drill into a painted inner fairing either...
My approach

Power I went directly to the plug under the seat for power...
in case I had to check the fuse it was there rather then tucked away in the inner fairing some where...Also able to use the switch on the dash to operate the power mode I want to the GPS...
I feel I have accomplished the cleanest look with what I was after and have the power wires and aux wire hidden when not in use...
I also plan on dressing up the film canister with a old leather glove to give it a bit more of a look I might be after...
But there isn't much canister seen so its not something I'm after asap...
You can see how I dressed off the top of the canister with a chrome cap...
If this is something you like PM me and I'll answer any questions you might have about the methods I used...

Now you don't
if you have the time i wanna see the inside of the fairing for your mount please. i want the same thing for my droid setup. what ball stud is it? what did ya do for the backside, is it reinforced?

Has anyone tried the Ram Mount break/clutch reservoir mount with two *****?

http://www.ram-mount.com/CatalogResu...5/Default.aspx

I was thinking of mounting my Tom Tom and IPhone on the same side. Not sure if it would be to cluttered.

I'm not crazy about the U clamp mount they have.
