Default Vinyl Wraps on Touring Bikes?

Anyone have pics of vinyl wraps on there tourers? Much cheaper than custom paint. I know a lot of sport bikes have them, but I don't think I've seen it on a bagger. I am thinking of getting my Ultra done and wanted opinions on it.

Someone recently inquired about this here and someone else chimed in and said it was next to impossible to get the curves on the tank to look right.

About 2 months ago my command had the display aircraft Vinyl wrapped because of the abuse of the high desert was just costing to much time in man hours to constantly repaint. It looks as good today as it did day one.

More food for thought..

Its much easier to change up the look of your bike with a wrap & still protect the factory paint underneath helping retain trade in value.
There are several used bikes that have sat at both of my local dealers because of "Custom paint".

IF and IF it is done correctly then I think it is a wise investment in protecting the factory paint.

There is always going to be these sorts of debates as new technologies are introduced into the H-D market.

Vinyl wrap on a Harley to me would make the bike look cheap. Spend over $20K on a bike, then scimp on a paint job, yuck!

I went with 3M clear, will have a pro install next time, looks good but think a pro could have made it better.

I have seen many local vans and trucks that have been wrapped. They look great, but that wrap begins to wear immediately. small rips and tears, wear marks etc. I bet that it would not look nice for long on a bike.

Have you ever tried to take a wrap off? Especially after a couple of years in the sun? I have been to several body shops when they were trying to get them off after a crash. Very labor intense, & some times destroys the paint underneath.

I personally think they look cheap, & I don`t want one on any of my trucks, & especially my bike.
