my 4" supertrapp stouts have that low sound your talking about, and at cruzin speeds there not over bearing. they have a nice rumble.

I think the Fatcat fits the bill here. It has a deep tone at idle, and sounds like a race car when you get into it. And the increase in torque is the icing on the cake.

To do it right, and let that engine "breathe", you may want to consider doing a Stage 1 and get rid of that catalytic converter. Once the cat. is gone you can put on any head pipe and muffler combo you like. Personally I went with the V&H Pro Pipe. Good sound and good performance for the money. Oh yeah, let's talk money (probably not what you want to talk about after just buying the new motorcycle and your budget is stretched...). Round numbers, you'll be looking at $1500 for a Stage 1, some kind of race tuner software, head pipe and slip-ons; and 3-4 hours dyno time. That number can vary depending on what you get. Anyway, if you don't get rid of that cat. the performance of your motorcycle and the sound of your pipes will never satisfy you.

2011 SG with Fuel Moto 2/1/2 head pipe and Jackpot 4" mufflers. Can hear the stereo just fine while cruising but still has plenty of bark when you jump in the throttle.
