You mean to tell me that this isn't normal behavior in Florida?

Personally, I'm all about people wearing whatever they so choose.

The girl above is just being an exhibitionist. Attention *****.

Rode a short distance in my gym clothes about 3 weeks ago and touched the exhaust with my bare leg about calf high. I now have a nice little red hole in my leg about the size of a dime. Not the smartest thing I've ever done.

It's not something I'm comfortable doing, but to each their own. I see it all the time on various bikes, but for some reason it seems to be more prevalent on the Gold Wings.

On the other hand, I do see the (female) passengers in shorts a lot, so I guess what's the difference (other than they look MUCH better than the rider)?

Wouldn't wear em no matter what the bike was. The thought of leaving my skin on the road or engine parts is enough for me. And yes I know heavy jeans and riding boots won't save me completely but its better than exposed skin, and I think in a low speed incident they would help.

As hot as it has been around here, I plan on wearing shorts to ride in this weekend. But, they will be under my leather overpants. The overpants and boots will come off as soon as we stop.

It was not about touching hot parts, it was simply the immense heat radiating off of the engine. I was very surprised. My previous touring bike was water cooled, so nowhere near the heat...

Oh, and no husband's involved!

Rode a lot in shorts. Sometimes in shoes. Sometimes in flip-flops. One time burned some leg hair get fuel standing beside my scoot. Another time got caught in a downpour. It is what it is. My opinion doesn't mean much, but I don't think it matters on what you are wearing when you are riding, as long as you are riding.
