Default First long trip any advice

I am going to take my first long distance trip. I will be going from Dallas,TX to Carls bad caverns in NM the first day. The second day leaving Carls bad caverns to Colorado springs,CO. Spending five days there in Colorado and then driving to Amerillo,TX spending the night and then drive home. I know I need to bring the usual rain suit, some tools, any advice would be greatly appreciate. Also will be following the wife in here car. Thanks for the advice. Round trip about 2200miles

Frequent short stops to stretch and stay loose. Hopefully you have a good seat and highway pegs.

A clean *** rides longer than a dirty one, keep some individually packaged moist wipes handy.

Take all those old underwear that you should have thrown out last year and get one more day out of them and then throw them away.

Don't forget to stop and see some sights along the way and have fun

Relax, enjoy the trip. When you stop for gas, spend 5 minutes walking and stretching.

Default first trip

As was said drink lots of water and don't know what kind of riding gear you prefer but a mesh jacket or at least a long sleeve tshirt of some kind to try to protect you from the sun. There's a reason people in desert area's of the world stay covered up...to stay cool!

Most important! Have fun!!!

Drink lots of water...BEFORE you get thirsty.

Don't get sunburned.

Walk & stretch at gas stops.

Have fun!!!

Default what they said

Stretch often, drink water, buy some seamless (bicycle) underwear, buy a dri weave long sleeve to wear under your t shirt, keeps your arms from burning-take half as much stuff and twice as much money. Dont plan ahead, let it happen
