Do a search...you'll have days of reading to keep you entertained.

Having said that I own both. After you ride both guess which you'll give the wife and which one you'll keep for yourself.

Lucky you and I am envious. To OP I have ridden both and loved the ride on both but if I had the money to throw out for a new scoot it would hands down be the Road Glide, At first I thought it to be fugly but has grown on me in a big way. Can't go wrong with either bike but I am in lust over the RGU!!!! Better check my lottery tickets....

Honestly, both are very nice bikes, but I would go with the Road Glide. Just a better handling bike overall, whereas the Street Glide gets the nod for Koolness!

I have an 11 SG and am working on trading for an 11 RG. I've got 6000 miles on my SG and I really like the bike. BUT I live and ride in the desert daily 60 plus miles back and forth to work. Most of the time there's 10 to 20 knot wind here. Many times there's 30 to 40 knot wind gusts. Hands down the RG handles the wind better. The SG doesn't feel as stable in heavy wind gusts as the RG does. And after 3 different shields and wind deflectors I still can't get rid of the buffeting on my head with the SG. Some days depends on the wind conditions my sunglasses almost rattle on me. I didn't get that with the RG. The other thing is I want ABS, which you can get on either bike of course, but if I'm going to trade it'll be for a RG.

I was told by my dealer the RG cuts through the wind better but.... I just couldn't get over the fugly shark nose. Both fine bikes but I just like the looks of the SG. I guess that's why the MoCo makes them both. Different strokes for different folks so I opted for the Limited.

Then you obviously don't know what a Goldwing looks like.

To the original poster: Get the Street Glide. I like seeing 50 SG's and 2 RG's when I pull into the parking lot...

Only you can make that choice.....shouldn't matter what 25 or 50
people tell you.
Its your cash, what bike is more comfortable and which one puts
the bigger smile on your face.

And in all honesty... "if you gotta ask, follow the masses and get the s/g"

do you carry a regular passenger? if so... take a test ride, with them... and get their input.
Test rides are often too short, you might also consider renting each, for a week end, and see how you like each bike in various conditions.
The RGC, and the SG are basically the same bike, but with different fairings. How well YOU like one fairing, and not the other is the key factor.

In he long run... buy what YOU like.. not what other's like. If the opinons of strangers matter..... then the hands down "winner" is the Street Glide. It's a nice bike....enjoy
