yes before the license plate and light go on.and then the rear fascia bolts to it.

Could one of you who have installed this send me some pics of the back side of the fender so I can see how they are mounted? I am wanting to experiment with putting them in my Sinister fender.

Any of you ever seen them installed in a fender other then the chupa and the Harley skirt?

I actually like the stock license plate/light setup, for now, and wanted a plate frame but didn't like the one from Harley with the visible bolt heads. I found this one from Cycle Visions, it has hidden bolts and the install isn't too hard. I had to make a little extra clearance in one of the slots in the plastic Harley piece and there is just enough room to get a ratchet boxed-end wrench on the nuts behind it.
