Thanks. I'll have to look into that hand pump. I'm sure any bicycle style hand pump would work right? Hopefully the shop will give me some insight when they go through it on friday.

No, a bicycle style pump will NOT work. The pump has to be a zero air loss style, low volume pump. Harley sells one that will suit your needs just fine. Good luck with the new ride.

Ok, Thanks. I picked up an owners manual and ordered a service manual today. Time to educate myself on these critters...

You may need to replace the muffler clamp. My experience has been that once the clamp has been tightened, it usually cannot be re-used with the same clamping force as new.

An air compressor CAN be used to fill your shocks, but you MUST set the regulator down to 30-35 psi so it will not pump higher than that. Provided the air compressor has a regulator. I use mine all the time. Only problem I do have is my air pressure gauge (race car type with rubber covered gauge, long hose and pressure release button) causes an air loss when used so I am guessing within a pound or 2 as to what I have in the shocks. But its not required to have pressure that precise. One of these days I will get the Harley pump.

I on the other hand, am thinking about getting a Busa as a second bike. Congrats

The Hayabusa is a phenomenal bike. I'll have one again once life gets more settled, kids are older, and I have the time and cash to have 2 bikes for myself.

I will try the exhaust as is with the clamp in the proper location, if that doesn't work, I'll replace the clamp. Also thinking of putting a set of slip-ons on there so might not have to worry about tightening the stock mufflers any longer...
