Default EIMTS Question

Bike is a 2010 FLHTK Trying to determine if EITMS is on. The owners manual says to turn the ignition to on, turn the off/run switch to run, and then roll the throttle forward for 3 seconds. What does roll the throttle forward mean? Do I give it some gas (motor is off)? The directions seem simple but I can't seem to turn the cruise control icon green or red. I suspect I am not doing something right with the throttle.

Does the cruise control switch need to be in the on position?

I am just trying to determine if this feature is on where I can leave it on.

Thanks for any help.

You roll the throttle the opposite way you would give it gas, forward toward the front wheel from idle position. It doesn't move far, just hold it there and you will see the light change and you are done, no the cruise switch does not need to be on

Switches on and roll the throttle away from you until it stops. Hold for 3 and look at the cruise light.
