Default wire connectors

when you are installing apes and you have to pull those little pins out of factory connectors what are you using to pull them out? Where do you buy the tool if needed and also are you soldering those extensions or just connecting them and shrunk wrapping thank you

I soldered and shrink wrapped everything. As for removing the pins... I know it's a PIA, but I cut mine off and redid them with Deutsch connectors. Easier to disassemble next time if I decide to change bars again. Likely scenario since I can't ever quit screwing with stuff.

Use an awl and put it in the female side until you hit the clip and push down and the wire will slide out. Do a search on Youtube I believe there are some videos on this.....I think.

Use any kind of hard wire that will fit into the hole, I used a safety pin from the baby's diaper. I dulled the point a bit and it worked fine. Anything that will fit and won't bend will work.

Paperclip, safety pins, safety wire works good too. Not really that big of a deal. Did my wiring when I went to 575's in about 15 mins.

If you do cut, yes solder the wires. Only major draw back to this is an increase in bulk due to the soldering and shrink tubing. Other than than.....

Take your time.

That's why you stagger the joints along the length of the wires.

I used a dental pick tool I bought at harbor freight. Makes the job easy. I would guess that any fine point would work like mentioned above. I was concerned about cutting and splicing the wires, read a lot about it changing the ohms of the wire and I didnt want to take any chances, especially with the TBW
