Unhappy clicking sound from primary

I'm getting a clicking noise whenever i start to take off in 1st gear, doesn't do it till it's warmed up, sounds like it's coming from the primary can't really tell. anybody else ever heard it?? the bike only has around 1110 miles and it's stock except for the slipons

Have you had your 1000 mile service? All fluids at a good level? I guess that would be the 1st thing I'd look at.

Could be your primary chain tensioner.

yes i have, i even told them when i took it in about it, they said they check it out, when i left it didn't do it, but it was cold, but by the time i got it home and pulled it in the garage i could hear it again, i checked the fluids and was OK, whatever it is it has a metallic click to it, so that can't be good. like i mentioned it only does it when warmed up first taking off just a quick click! and whenever i pull in the clutch to go around a corner is when i can hear it.
thanks

to me,,I'm an aircraft engine mechanic,,by trade,,

My 2010 RKC does the exact same thing. When you pull in the clutch it clanks and when you release the clutch it clanks. It is more noticalble at slower speeds. I got to have it checked out, mine started at about1300 miles and now around 2k. Seems to be getting worse.

+1 on the clank when the clutch is released...notice it more so when travelling at slower speeds/lower revs.
Have changed to the Screaming Eagle compensator and put in the heavier clutch spring.
To me ie sounds like the chain is slapping around inside the primary?...slack adjuster/tensioner maybe?

3,500 miles on bike...been doing this clanking for around the last 1,000 miles.

Mine does it too. I had the Harley dealer at House of Thunder in Morgan hill look at it their service manager said that it was normal and went as far as sitting on my bike while running and in gear pulling and releasing the clutch lever fast making the noise repeat at will. didnt seem right to me but at this point all I can go on is the word of the professionals.

clicking sound especially after warm up, is most likely due to primary oil that is too thin.
