Default screamin'eagle race tuner

I had a 2010 Heritage with the race tuner and vance & Hines big shot staggered pipes.I kept the tuner no knowing if I could use it later. My question is -- is the race tuner compatable with the 2010 rkc that I traded for. I know I will have to buy new pipes and have it re-tuned but can I use the same race tuner? I'm not so mechanically inclind.

No. In fact you should return the vci box to the new owner. Each tuner is married to the bike in which it was installed.

The dealership that sold me the Heritage sold me the RKC. They never ask for it back. I didn't know it would work for another bike. Both bikes were '10's with a 96 cid. Oh well I tried.

They probably didn't think to ask. You should get it to the dealer so the next owner can use it. It's of no use to you nor anyone since it's linked to the ecm of your old bike.

the right thing to do is drop it off at the dealer, or you can contact TTS and trade it in for a TTS Master Tune for $100.00 http://www.mastertune.net/SERTUpgrade.html

TTS will only upgrade the older SERT, those were the ones they made for HD and let HD put their name on them. The newer ones, SEPT, can not be upgraded to be a TTS.

Do yourself and favor and find a competant tuner that uses TTS Mastertune over the HD product. It is more capable and has more flexibility.
