Sorry to hear about your wreck NFDLtE3 . Are you moving around good?

I think that is an ok deal on the Road Glide. Too bad it does not have a tourpak.

I ended up purchasing this 09 Ultra for $15500 with 4200 miles on it. There are some good deals out there but you got to really look. I was not all about the paint job but for the kind of savings I got I can pay for the custom paint job. Check out all the dust on it. It had set for almost two years after the guy died. His wife just wouldn't let it go.

I am very pleased with the payout. All I can say is if any of you have accessories on a bike it is worth the additional insurance. ($42 per year for 6k) I actually had a lot more than that on my bike and if it had been stolen I would have truly suffered. Luckilly they were nice enough to let me keep the bike for a few weeks to take off everything I wanted as long as I left a complete bike meaning I had to replace it with stock stuff and had to leave 6k in accessories on there which wasn't hard since the paint was half of that.. Now I am either selling that stuff or putting it on my new bike.

On my new bike I just went ahead and insured it for 10k in accessories because I know that within a few months it will have that many and I wont have to remember to go change my policy.
Sounds like you made out pretty good. Now comes the hard part; deciding what to get.

Traceman, I'm a little sore in places but I am up and moving around pretty good (thank God). And thanks for asking.
You did get an incredible deal! I've been looking pretty hard and haven't found a deal like yours yet. I've found a couple great deals on 08's, but am trying to hold out for an 09. The 3 best deals on 09's are all in New Jersey for some reason.?.
The best I've found with a tourpak was 17900 and it had 24k miles on it. I still have my tourpak from the old bike and may sell it to buy one to fit and colormatch the new bike if I have to.
Did you find yours on Craigslist? Ive been looking there at just about everything east of the Mississippi. I'm sure something will come around, but you know those great deals don't last long and you pretty much have to be right on top of them when they get listed.
Still on the Hunt! -NFDLtE3

Yes I would certainly hold out for an 09. Craigslist is a good place. I use searchtempest.com to search craigslist. Actually one of the guys I was riding with the day I wrecked knew of this lady who had the bike stored. I just got lucky. Well at least you have the tourpak. I had mine also. I sold it on Ebay. I will keep my eyes open around here for a Roadglide for you.
