Default Stage one help

Just installed my stage one from fuel moto. Used their catless pipe, 4 in dyno tuned mufflers, a/c and pcv. Bike has a pop or backfire on decell-especially when idling and rev it up. Any ideas? Power is noticibly increase and heat issue especially around passenger foot is no more. Bike is also loud for me- How can I make it quieter?TIA

Can't help on the noise but fuelmoto will send a new map to help on the decel pop.

What's up Mike? you need to check for an exhaust leak first. If you smoke or a friend does light one up and circle the header where it meets the head and look for disturbance. If that is all good call Jamie and he will square you away. As far as sound I don't know about their slip-on's but sounds like others say they have quite baffels you can get.
Get that Freedom Shield yet?

Not to take anything away from other suggestions but don't forget to tighten up the muffler clamps to specifications. Lots of bikes have a decel pop after putting on new muffs or pipes. If not torqued properly they suck air into the pipe causing the decel pop. The muffler clamps need to be in the proper location too.

I agree 110 percent. Not the normal point of a leak IMO but it does happen for sure and to me once before on old ride. It took high temp copper rtv to seal that muff on with the clamp.

Hello JR, Did the smoke test and didn't detect anything. Will stop by the dealer today and pick up gaskets and clamps-hope they are in stock. Mufflers are way too loud for me. Need to quiet them down. Will also call fuel moto today. Bike is stronger pulling and the heat issue at the cat is great. Shield will ship first part of next week. Mike

check for oil at the 6'oclock position of the air filter. if you find droplets, one of you seals between your stage I and cyclinders are leaking/seeping oil....which will also produce the subject pop sound. use thread lock as suggested in the install instructions.
