No rattling, no noise, no nothing. It is a very simple design. I will try and take some pictures of everything and post them. Next to the 9.5 inch windshield they were the best purchase I made for the bike so far. Try contacting Rivco for any questions regarding fitment, but, from what I've seen about the mounting of RG lowers everything should work fine.

Is access to the top one only through the glovebox?

Yes if you have the glove box. It is really simple though. Pull the leather cover and loosen the ****. The only real variable is the design of the front cover of the lower. The newer ones have a cover that seems to snap on the topfront portion of the lower. The older ones like mine(02) have a cover that screws on. The kit provides small thumb screws to make removal real easy.

I just bought Harley's quick detach kit. It says to use antiseize lubricant. I do not have any and the store is closed, can I use WD40?

Thanks in advance

I won't tell anyone what to do with their money, but I just took one side off my bike a couple of weeks ago and it took me all of about 2 minutes, tops. Going back on was about 5.
Aside from the lower quick detach mount looking nicer than the stock strap, I'd just as soon keep the stock hardware so some scumbag isn't quite as inclined to use the quick-detach feature to help himself to what's mine.

Neil:

What kind of bike did you put them on? I have a Road Glide and I'm considering buying lowers for it. If these will work, I would buy a set.
The web page description states (Note: Does not fit Road Glide lowers.)

Just ordered a set from Rivco for my '03 Ultra. Should be here Friday or Monday. I will let you know how they work out. Jerry

Oh nice!! Bookmarked that link. I was considering adding lowers to my scoot but didn't because of them being permanent. This is great!! Now to add to the project lists. blah...

Thanks!
