Default Fuel guage light/led is flickering?

I have an 06 Street Glide. Last rear I replaced the bulbs in all the guages with leds. This year the led in the fuel guage started to flicker. So I purchased a new led to replace it. It is doing it again. I am guessing it is not the led itself. Could it be the socket that the led goes into? Is there a way to check it? Thoughts/ideas?

Thanks
Eric

I am experiencing EXACTLY the same problem. I replaced all small gauge lights with LEDS about a year ago and everything was fine for almost two seasons then just before fall all of a sudden the small gauges lights all started flickering while riding. Driving me crazy!! Please help!

i have fiqured out it is the bulb not staying affixed certain bumps will bump it out. It isn’t staying secure. I wonder what I can use silicone? Maybe to secure it in place just a dab?

I have never seen a conductive silicone. You could try some dielectric grease. Where did you get the LED's? The cheap China products can have very poor quality and that could be the issue if you went that route.

Anyone figure this out? I have the same problem on an 05 Electra, went from the OEM halogen bulbs to LED's in the small clusters and they all flicker. I have tried the $1 LED and I have tried the $5 LED with the same results

I had my oil idiot light doing the same thing.....I started checking wires and found that it the insulation had worn away and it was grounding out on the fairing mount . My bike is an 08 Street Glide.
