My #1 desired, modification, but will have to wait until back home. In the mean time, I had a similar thread and a couple guys posted pics, and the TWO-Tone inners rocked ! So if possible that is the desired effect, I will be aiming for. Some nice skulls and smoke trails out there, to each his own. Basic color is still quite nice but the two tone on a two tone colored bike really does make the difference, worth checking out. good luck and post your results.

 

If you do a search on "painted inner fairing" , thread, you should be able to view the pics, again the two tone really stood out for me, but we do have different tastes. If not I might have a couple on my desktop I could pass along, don't think the OPs would mind. Cheers.

 

I have the same bike as you, I went back and fourth on Cherry Red Sunglo or the Merlot Sunglo. I decided on the Cherry Red Sunglo and I am glad I did. No problem with glare and the best part is you look at it all the time. Here are some pics.

 

My SG has inside batwing painted Merlot. I like it a lot. Think about other things to do to your bike once the fairing is taken apart. Perhaps change the air gauge for an oil temp gauge. Add an amp for your radio. You will love the new look.
