Who cares what we think as long as you like and wear it. It's your helmet and money. Wear what you like. Biking is supposed to be about freedom and individuality, but it seems everyone wants to look the same as everyone else. Enjoy it and ride safe.

That's not a bad choice for hot weather. I never could understand how anyone could wear a full face in the summer.

If thats the first time the wife has laughed at you then you are doing well. If not then deal with it as always. Enjoy your new cooler helmet.

There is nothing to laugh at Ponch..... But seriously i don't know how you could wear a full face in the summer half is the way to go at least for comfort. I wear a half almost always unless its bitter cold out. I have better visibility and can hear better. Ride on and don't give it another thought.

At least she wasn't laughing at your purple helmet.

This reminds me of a post I made on a musicians forum titled "Wife's new puppy took a dump on my pedal board."

Finding a good helmet is tough. I have been wanting to go to a 3/4 for a long time, but can't find one I like. I have a HJC I bought several years ago and it's comfy, but as usual it makes me look like a mushroom head. I have even been looking at the flip-ups but I am just not sure what I really want.
