Default K&P Filter and Scavenger System

I used the Scavenger product I purchased this winter and installed the K&P stainless steel re-useable oil filter.Took it for a 20 mile ride(the bike sounded great),what really impressed me was I took a sample of oil from the dip stick and one from the Amsoil oil bottle and smeared them on a piece of white cardboard, you couldn't tell the difference.Maybe in long run those two items will pay for themselves.

I run the k&P filters love them, but not to pop your bubble, a 20 mile ride isn't going to show much of a difference with any system/filter ride it longer and compare, remember, oils second job, is to entrap dirt, so it should change color if it is doing its job. filters take out the dirt/ debrix, but not the color change

The point I was trying to make was that using the scavenger system it seemed to really prevent the left in oil from polluting the new.

So...are you asking what people think of these two products?? I did some research on both and determined they are not needed. I don't think you get that much contamination from old oil. I change mine at 5K intervals and haven't had a problem yet. I can buy a lot of oil and filters for what they cost...JMO

I used the K&P and it has paid for itself. Great filter.

+1 on the K&P Engineering filter. Had one on my bike for 2 years now. Already paid for itself.
