Default 2011 Header question

I'm wanting to get rid of the cat. I don't think I want to cut and remove the cat myself, so I'm thinking about buying one from American Custom. Or I could go the 2009 header route. Which one is easier/better/cheaper?

Get a set of V&H true dual headers and enjoy the music.

I have the new S&S power duals on my '09 King and they are a great, reasonable money set of head pipes that actually work. Will make your bike flow exhaust from both sides, not the 80/20 split you have now. What you have now with both the 2011 or 2009 head pipes is basically a 2 into 1 with a bad leak????? The '09s would be an improvement over your '11's, but for a few bucks more, you could do it right......

If you don't want to spend a lot of money and want a professional job, look on Ebay, theres a guy name Rollinfast that takes 2010 and 2011 stock headers, removes the cat and welds them in a professional manner. He paints them as well. I bought a 2into1 from him. works great!!!

which ever you decide is up to you, just do your homework, if you plan on adding a wide band 02 sensor tuner down the line, it takes the 18mm bung, which your stock pipe doesn't have, really if it was me I'd get the pipe with both size bugs just in case.

I have an 11 Limited, removed the CAT myself and had it welded back together. I bought a complete exhaust system from a forum member for $125 and kept my head pipe with the CAT for warranty purposes if needed. I think the aftermarket head pipes are a waste of money for the gains you get. This is by far the cheapest option unless you gut your own head pipe and then you run the risk of being denied a warranty claim if they find you removed the CAT.
