Default Question on Agitator Rotors

Hey on page 349 of the 2010 catalog, there is a road king with a front agitator wheel. The rotor on the wheel doesn't have the center carrier section. The rotor bolts directly to the rim like the V-rod wheels. Of course it looks MUCH cleaner and shows off more of the wheel.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I hate the look of the current agitator rotors.

Thanks,

Jim

They both are floating rotors. The only difference is how they attach to the wheel. These had the rotor mounting directly to the hub while the ones actually listed in the catalog have the rotor attach to a center ring. Which then mounts to the hub.

I looked at that too and couldn't find an answer either. I figured maybe the pic you're referencing is a prototype or something. I ended up buying Reaper wheels cause I REALLY didn't like the Agitator rotor. Why hide the wheel like that if it doesn't have to be.
