Default Smoked Street Glide lenses

Does anybody have the smoked lenses with the red bulb on the back of their 2010 Street Glide? If you do, what are your thoughts on the visability of the smoked multi purpose run, turn brake compared to stock? Is yours a Harley or aftermarket lense? If you are running this set-up and wouldn't mind posting a picture, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks, Rick

I can get you a picture later when its darker out but my buddy is running them and with the smoked lens and red bulb they almost look orange like and also they are not as bright as the stock setup at all so I chose to leave mine alone till I can do LED bulbs.

Thanks for responding and for a pic if its not too much trouble. I wondered that. Are the LED's really any better? I seem to recall a few posts where someone tried replacing a good old 1157 with an LED and went back because they were not nearly as bright.

Thanks. What was your opinion of them verses stock? Those look like LED's?

That's what I'm going to switch to as well (LEDs). I'm getting tired of changing bulbs all the darn time and I think they are brighter.

I have the Kuryakyn Panacea LED setup on the back. Very bright and noticeable. Going on 5 years now with original bulbs.

I have the Kuryakyn (not the panacea led) with their red bulb on my Road Glide and didn't like the lack of brightness. So I installed the module that turns your signal lights into running lights and break lights, put red bulbs in, and am happy with the results. My riding partners say that my visibility from behind is more than adequate now, and it looks good. I can post a pic later if you'd like.

Here you go. 2010 SG, HD smoke lenses with red LED's. Pics taken with sun direct on the back of the bike...so worse case for visibility.
