made it by the dealer today and asked what that plug was.....its a plug for the crank. they said it was no big deal if i removed it. however.....i dang sure wont take it out again.

Exactly, that is the crank plug that is removed when checking for sumping. 6oz comes out and it is within limits, but on the higher end. No more than 6oz should come out or you'd be sumping.
