Default best way to lower

I have an 2002 Ultra. Want to lower the front and rear more than 1 inch. Any ideas and what would be the safest?
Thanks

progressive rear shocks and front springs, have them on all my bikes, bike handles much much better.

Let air out your shocks. Tomorrow when you want to raise it back up. Put air back in.

Only go 1 inch on the front because most likely it will bottom at 2.
On the rear the best way is shocks, either air for adjustability or just get shorter shocks. I am running progressive dropped 1 in the front and 11.5 inch shocks on rear.

Progressive drop in kit works the best for the money for the front in my opinion. Not a difficult process just kinda dirty . Run with a heavy fork oil. Just as a note... i dropped mine over 2 inches and i don't come close to bottoming out. The hole i would have to hit would probably throw me before it bottomed out.

Front Lowered 2 inches w/ progressive springs
Rear shocks were sent out to
http://bitchinbaggers.com/products/drop-shocks/
and lowered 2 inches.

I never bottom out and I ride with my wife from time to time.

I put lowering shocks on mine on the rear and that has helped a lot. Was going to lower the front too, but now I do not have to. The rear was enough. I would reccomend the rear, try it and see if it is enough, if not then the front. Also you could look into a shorter seat and skip loweing the thing at all.
