Well, I pulled the trigger and picked up a used 2009 FLHTC, American bike. It was at a very reasonable price, and the color I wanted - black. Pics to follow.
The only thing I have to get used to is going from a zippy 2009 Low Rider with a complete Stage 1 (loved the loud pipes), with a Bare Bones seat (which made it feel like you were riding the engine), to the unbelievable comfort of the Classic. I literally thought I was going to fall asleep on a short run yesterday. The comparison between the two made me feel like the Classic had no guts vs. the Low Rider. LOL

Nowt wrong with the 08's. Actually some say the ride on 09 and later is too stiff. In any event, the 09's seem to have a few minor issues. 1) wheel bearings don't last long from the factory, 2) swingarm holds water, 3) rear brake switch melts and fails

It's always something. Ya just can't win. LOL
