Ahhh! The return of the venerable swamp ***! I just put a Captain Itch Crotch Cooler on my 09 Road King and let me tell you, it works as advertised! Only in the upper 80's here in Jersey this past week but the heat poured off the front of the engine in local driving (stop & go) and I didn't feel any additional heat on the inner thighs. It's so simple it's ridiculous, and it looks good too. The only other way I know to improve air flow would be not to stop, just keep going.

A lot of people after installing our Heat shield/crotch cooler have told us that their seat is not near as hot as it was before they used our product..Since our product slips between the seat and frame and would act as a barrier I guess this would make sense. If I can help out any Woman to stay a little more comfortable while sitting on their Harley I guess I have done my job..

This is what I use. Works great. When I take a long road trips I also wear Under Armor athletic shorts under my jeans. These shorts wick moisture away from your butt/crotch for greater comfort.

Had it on 2 bikes and it is great here in the Arizona heat and is quick to remove if it rains, or when I go to motel for the night..

Being also from hot Arizona, what I have found works best is riding shorts from LD Comfort (HD Forum sponsor). They eliminate the need for Monkey Butt powder and such. I have also found that the wide seats add to the issue. A wide seat traps in moisture not allowing any air flow at all. I just recently added a C&C Tour Special seat. It is not as wide as my stock seat and more firm. Thus far, it seems to have improved the sweaty butt issue. One more thing, getting the feet up on the highway pegs increases air flow also.
