Thanks for the suggestions. I have seen the HD circulator pads but was not sure how they would affect the comfort of the seat. I will also check into the sheepskin pads, those might help with the seat heat after the bike has been sitting in the sun at a stop. Though I will park a little farther away from where I am going if I can find some shade to park in.

Padded bicycle shorts with the coolmax liner work great. I've done 2 long rides (7000 and 5000 mile) and they work. buy 2 or 3 sets and ride, ride, ride.

I"ve been using a bead seat from beadrider.com for the last several years. It works great and was fairly cheap.

For those that have the HD circular seat pad, how much to they raise you up? The only downside of the bead seat is that it does raise you about 3/4 inch.

Yes,get the HD Circulator Pad. I've had one since they first came out. That is one of the best things I have purchased. I'm on my second Hd & still have the same HD Circulator Pad. They even have them for passanger.
