High Mileage Brake Pads?

Me either. Who's lifetime are the pads good for on your truck? Yours until you crash into a tree or fly off a cliff I guess?
I had 25000 on my original pads but changed them to Lyndall pads when I swapped rotors. Original pads still had at least 50% of the material left on them so that seems to be pretty good life to me.

My ex's Dad put lifetime pads on her Chevy Astro van and it diminished the braking ability. when they needed replacement, I recommended and personally installed a premium semi metallic pad from Wagner and man did she and I notice the improvement.
I'll never buy or recommend a lifetime pad for any application, as they are cheap organic pads with seriously reduced braking ability's. And they do wear out, as they all will!
I always recommend going with OEM pads whenever possible
I will use OEM on my scoot as well. The heck with Lendall's
My $0.02

I would go with oem pads (or at least oem quality pads that are not made for the hd company)..here are the reasons...when hd designed the braking system it took into account heat generated buy braking, this heat is absorbed by the rotor and the pads, harder (read long life) pads don't absorb as much heat so the rotor gets hotter which can cause brake fade, also harder pads don't wear as much (duh) so the rotor has to make up the wear..so you wear out your rotors quicker..brake pads are much cheaper and easier to change than rotors...also harder pads (ie., ceramic, metallic) need more pressure on the pad to get the bike to stop...all in all, I would not try and re-engineer something that could easily cause you to die if it fails......oh, and the harder pads are more likely to squeak...

Well i i use EBC double sintered pads and it stops a lot better and lasts a lot longer than stock but lika said above the wear on the rotor is a bit mot... I am at 60000 miles on mine and the rotors are some worn...I could use them a bit longet but found a deal on some used rotors (take offs) so i will change the rotors... I want better brake performance and stock pads just didn't do it for me. It's just another wear item,

I'll probably get flamed for using "cheap" pads on my $20k bike, but here goes. A trusted tech turned me on to sintered-metalic/ceramic pads sold by Partsangel on Ebay. These cost $40 for three sets with free shipping, so I decided to give them a try. After 3k miles of use, 1500 of which were zipping around in the Ozarks, I can report that these pads perform as well as any I've used before, are very quiet, and leave almost no dust on the wheels, less than any I've ever used. Two other questions can't be answered for a while, namely how will they perform in the wet and how will the rotors wear.
Before purchase I called an on-line retailer for EBC, who sells both sintered-metalic and Kevlar (organic) pads from different manufacturers, and he said performance for EBC sintered-metalic pads was excellent wet or dry, but noise and rotor wear may be slightly higher compared to organic pads. At this time I can say that noise is not an issue with the pads sold by Partsangel and that they perform very well in the dry. These are marked "NGBBP" on the packaging with no country of origin shown. My tech friend said he's used these on several bikes with no issues.
Note that some of Partsangel's Ebay auctions are currently screwed-up and show as starting $200 more than they should, so I guess emailing him first is the solution if you're interested in these. He has 6200 feedbacks with 99.7% being positive. Those that I checked that were not favorable weren't related to quality or performance issues with the pads. The few testimonials I saw from a Google search for NGBBP were all positive.

Not to burst anyone bubble...Having worked in the automotive service buisness for 30+ years ...Lifetime replacements are only 1 time replacement all based if you kept your receipts...it a gimmick trust me..cars and trucks get quiet wear and longer life from ceramic materials, metalic last long but noisy but best for your money is basic organic, dont last as long dont make noise and are forgiving to rotors..for the bikes I perfer to use OE pads
just an opinion....
