Dropped my brand new Street Glide tonight

Everyone seems to be dropping their bikes this week. How did you avoid damaging your saddlebags, as SG's have no protection at all for them? I installed some guards early-on and I feel much better about the prospect of having the bike fall over, which it has twice when I thought the kickstand was down (but wasn't). Anyway, let he who has never dropped his bike and thinks he never will cast the first stone.

Very happy to hear you're didn't get dinged up--and the bike saw minimal damage. I 'set down' my first fatboy in a dairy queen parking lot in front of 100 people. Gawd how embarrassing. Look at the bright side, if you were riding a racing bike and dropped it like that it would have been totaled.

Sh$t happens. Don't sweat it!
Dropped all my bikes at one point are another. My most embairising was on a new BMW LT that I had just picked up from the dealer. Stopped at a red light on the hwy and reliesed that the road fell away from the side my leg was out. After a certin lean angle and my foot had yet to contact the ground that I was going over. Tall bike and short legs = dropped bike. Too much plastic and no hand holds meant that I was not picking up the bike by my self. Thankfully the guy in the truck behind me helped, but I was sure embarest!
