Just picked up my Road Glide, and going for a mix. Blacking out the handle bar and controls, and chroming the front end, exhaust, and keeping the engine chrome accented.

I agree.....personally I think a mix is best.

I actually like my brushed fork sliders.....they constrast both blacked out and chromed wheels. If the clear paint ever peels, then I'll jack the bike up, pull the fender and wheel and sand them down with 600 grit paper and hand polish them with brasso and then 0000 steel wool, for a satin polished look. I did this on my cafe racer, and it really looks sharp!
