Default Can the sift linkage be adjusted Road King

I have an 05 Road King and the dealer put in a new spline. Now I can't get a comfortable adjustment on the shift pegs. I tried adjusting and it seems to be either to high or to low. Was wondering if I could adjust the linkage to get it to wear it seems comfortable.

You can adjust it only if the linkage has treaded rod ends. Takes a little trial and error, in the end you still have some limitations in adjustment because the splines are fixed. I got the toe and heel shifter as low as I could without interfernce from the floorboard preventing a shift. For some reason I needed a little more travel for second gear only, just make sure the trans is fully warmed up when you run though all the gears to check for interference with the foot boards. Its pretty embarrasing and possibly dangerous when you can't hit second. Locktite and check the shift levers' clamp bolts often, they will work loose and strip your new spline shaft.
