Just curious there seem to be a lot of '09-11 on this forum and it seems people are getting new bikes every year. Which is great for people looking for a used bike with low miles. So how many miles do you put on a bike before you trade it in. If it's less than 10K it isn't even broken in so we won't count those answers.

I typically try and run things until they are ready to shake hands with the groundhog or they are more maintenance than I have time. My last bike I got rid of a 30K and this one I will run until it meets the groundhog.

 

I'll trade mine in when I have to carry it in buckets to the dealer.

 

I traded at 34,000 miles but it was an 07 SuperGlide and I was traveling farther distances. I would have kept it but made the mistake of riding an RGU, so the trade was a no-brainer for me. I would have kept the SuperGlide until I hit 50-80K, but it was not meeting my riding needs. If the RGU holds up, I hope that it will be 80-100k before it goes away.

 

I kept all My Bikes until the bitter end, I will Ride My 08UC into the ground.

 

50k and still going strong...Will buy new in a couple of years.

 

I'm going to keep my 08 sg as long as it runs, she's a keeper.

 

I'll keep my '08 until I get tired of it, then see whats out there
that catches my eye.
My last bike was a '99 and I sold it in '08 with just under 100k miles
on the odometer.

I don't get rid of anything until it is worn out beyond repair. I don't like giving my money away to the dealer.

 

I traded my last one in at 55000.
The one I have now will probly be the last one I buy.
