Sticking Clutch 1992 TourGlide UC
I very recently purchased a 92 Tourglide, the bike runs great but sometimes, hot or cold, low or high speed the clutch will not fully release making it difficult to shift, and if stopped the bike will pull forward, not so much I can't stop it with my feet, but there is a definate drag from the clutch.
Sometimes it will go days without acting up, sometimes it is nonstop.
I'm suspecting something foreign in the clutch assembly, I'm waiting on a clutch spring compressor tool to arrive before I dissassemble it.
Anybody else seen this before?

With the age of the bike...i would bet that the ears on the clutch plates have bit (cut) into the clutch hub. The plates should slide freely in and out...I think that the ears of the plates have cut into the clutch hub slots and causes them to stick either not compressing all the way when engaged or preventing separation when disengaged.

Thanks, thats a great suggestion and I will look for that when I break it down.
I neglected to mention the bike only has 11 thousand miles on it. The exterior is scratched and rusty in places from sitting at outer edge of carport for the better part of its 19 years, but the bike still has the original final drive belt and the inside of the primary is spotless, no wear showing on the chain adjuster wear plate.
