Went down hard (pics)
Well, a quick thunderstorm hit around 0200 monday morning on my way home. I was going too fast (probably around 60) and failed to negotiate a turn all the way. From what i remember, the rear end got loose, i let off the brakes, and hit a culvert. Went airborne, slammed into the ground, somehow i ended up in a ditch full of water with the bike on my left leg.
Sore as hell, chipped bone in my ankle, burns, double vision, and tissue/muscle damage from the weight of the bike slamming my leg. I'm on crutches and banged up but alive and not too bad off. Bike is ****ed, flirting with a total loss. Repair bill is over $10,000 right now. Gotta love that insurance.
Saddlebags exploded, windshield is gone, seat destroyed, crash bars bent, gas tank crushed...basically anything that had paint on it is trashed. And yeah, my 1/2 helmet saved my noggin from some serious **** - CT scan was negative despite having a knot on my head a sore nose bridge and double vision.
***EDIT*** also, if any of you want to be a douchebag, just keep it to yourself. i don't need parenting from an internet forum, i just figured you homies would want to see pictures
