Don't know if your insurance co will try to total it but if not, and I'm not sure how it works in your state but here in Cali you can get the insurance company to write you the check for what it would have cost to have the dealer to repair your scoot then you can do it yourself, have someone paint it and either pocket the extra $ or use it for upgrades.
YMMV. In many states the insurance company would be required to release the bike with a salvage title. This requires keeping all the receipts and having the bike inspected indetail before it can be registered - and each successive owner must do the same. Other states have a repair title, or allow a clear title once it's repaired and inspected. But it always impacts resale value,

Seeing your bike and that ankle makes me recall my own golden rule,"If the road is wet, slooow down."
Too many times I thought awe hell,it's all good ,only to find the slick spot.
