Default My "friend" hit me, very, very, very happy ending

This is post no 4 and the last one. My friend hit my bike 5 weeks ago or so with his Harley.
He did not want to use the insurance but eventually he agreed. I had $4000 of repairs.
Took the bike to the best shop in my area and they did a great job. Out of pocket I paid them to paint the fairing (see attached pic) and to upgrade the pipes ( insurance paid 80%)
to Monster ovals. I also had them change the fork oil since the bike was disassembled.
Wow, love the painted fairing, the repair and paint job was great, put the fake chrome piece from Karyakyn on the trunk and the new pipes are a dream, the Rinehearts I had were too loud. So I am very, very very happy with how the bike looks and how it rides and also the new fork fluid makes the bike feel like new.

Love the inner fairing, love the Monster Ovals and that trunk piece looks alright too.
At least you gotta a little benefit for your troubles.

Cool. What would your friend charge to run into my bike? The new has wore off my paint job, I could use a new one.

Looks great but that Kury piece is just too funky imo.

Hey C50-- I remember your first post about this. Good to hear your friend came to the party in the end.

Bike looks great with one reservation to me-- the Kuryakin thing on the TP. Not my cup of tea but that doesn't matter.
Ride safely and hope your friend is still a friend.

Excellent! I remember your original post, so glad it worked out. If you like you're MO's now, you will love them later as they get better as time goes on - at least to me anyway.

Glad to hear things worked out to your satisfaction.

IIRC, the Kury tour pak chrome trim is named "Collosus"; appropriately IMO.
