Just bought a used Ultra from dealer and was wondering why the 4 ways flash 6 to 8 times every time I turn on the ignition. Bike only came with one key and no fob. Does this 01'have any type of security, and what is the flashing 4 ways mean? What year did they start having the fobs?

 

You probably have a stored fault code and that is why they are flashing.

 

My 01 doesn't and no mention of it in the manual that I can remember. But not 100% sure.

 

Had an 01 Classic , the security system back then was an option they weren't standard , you'd need a fob if you had one
