Default Engine Sweating

I searched the forum and only found a few posts on sweating. My case is a 2007 Road King Classic. Unlike most other postings, my engine is sweating from the flat area between the base of the barrels and the transmission. If you have any information on how Harley has treated you in this matter I would like to hear. I am considering building a class action suit against Harley to fix these engines. This situation is not acceptable. If this is "normal" as Harley has told me, why don't both of my 96ci engines do it?

Can you elaborate more on what you mean by sweating?

Sounds like you might possibly have a base gasket leaking as has happened to some other 07's. There is an o ring between the barrel and the engine case.

sue, sue, sue. the bike is not new-going on 4 years old. a class action law suit? no good lawyer would take such a case. you could lose and be liable for all of harley's legal fees and court costs! live with it, sell it, or replace the gaskets. nothing good will come from a lawsuit.

My bike just started this "sweating" in the same spot end of last season. My Wide Glide did the same thing, changing the tranny fluid cured it.
