What brand of sheild? The clerview can be compounded out but the rest ya have to be careful, I use plexus on all my sheilds, lemon pledge works well too, even on my sun glasses and reading glasses.

Novus makes scratch remover that works well.
#1 for fine, #2 for medium... Or visa versa.

Had the same issue on an older bike windshield. I bought some scratch remover at Wally World in the motorcycle section (don't remember what brand) that works reasonably well if the scratch isn't too deep. Its a paste that has a mild abrasive. In the past, I have used Brasso with some success as well. Takes a lot of rubbing but does fairly well if you're patient.

Don't know much about what works to get them out but when you clean windshields you need to wipe up and down and NOT across. Sunlight will distort your vision on any scratches that go across the windshield. Just sayin.
