Default Fairings Gasket Adjustment?

I had the Harley Boom Speakers installed on my new StreetGlide and noticed when I got home the fairing gasket wasn't tucked into the fairing on the left hand side about 2 1/2". Not a big deal and I'm sure it would not cause issues of any sort but I notice it and it kinda well, drives me nuts. Maybe I should just try to deal with it?. My question is, is this a simple thing that I can fix or should I make the trip back to the dealer to have them tuck it back in. Not sure if you could loosen just one side or do I need to pull the entire front fairing off?

Thanks for any feedback you may have.

Thanks,

T

It is better to pull the entire outer fairing to make sure the gasket fits properly all the way around. Not that hard to do.

Taking the front fairing off is so easy, a cage chicken can do it!

There's no reason to remove the outer fairing; just loosen the screw below the left speaker (and perhaps the top and/or bottom screws if needed) and tuck it in, then retighten the screws you loosened. Use a T27 Torx bit.

It's not hard to do. But if the dealer is close by let them do it while you wait. They did not ck there work you paid for it. Make them make it right. If you don't have one get a service manual and a parts book is very hepfull also.

If it is the gasket around the lower front at the headlight area you will have to use an auto weatherstrip adhesive to properly install it and get to stay put. You will need to remove the fairing and repair, don't forget the masking tape to hold it into place until the adhesive sets, then reinstall the fairing.

If it is the small gasket around the upper left and right , just loosen the 4 fairing screws abd massage into place and tighten up.

Thanks for the feedback. If the rain holds off for a change I'll swing into the dealership if not it does sound like something I could adjust on my own.

Thanks again!
