Default Horn Bracket Let Go with Howards Horns

I have a set of Howards Air Horns. They combine their own bracket and the OE horn bracket to mount them. The OE bracket uses the cowbell to hide the mini compressor. Was riding yesterday and noticed the the cowbell and combressor dangling by the electrical wires. (Thank goodness for wire ties? The way the set up works, it does not seem like there is any additional weight on the cowbell bracket. I dont think my engine vibrates any worse than average. All mounting is good. Any one had this break before? and any suggestions to beef it up?

I have had the Howard horns for a year or so, hasn't happened to me yet. although after installing them I came across a thread (maybe not this forum) where that happened to quite a few people, some people have gone through two or three brackets. If it happens to me I am not going to start replacing the same bracket over and over, I will be going with a seibel nautilus horn or most probably the cheaper version of it, I forget the name right now. Might put two of those in.

just got Howard's Horn installed last week. Bought at and recommended by J & P Cycle. Had a bike shop do the install. Less than 200 miles later i have the trumpets hanging only by the air hose. Sent note to Howard --- no response yet. Afraid I am just s... out of luck. Can't even get on his website today -- just a coincidence?

Mine broke in the first year. I made my own out of stock alumunium and rode for 4 years. Horns stopped working yesterday and I put the stock horn back on. I will work on the Howards horns over the holidays. They did save my a$$ a couple of times in 4 years.

Bracket broke after several years on a road king. The horns also began to have issues. Finally tossed horns and replaced with a Friamm horn(stock style horn) under the cover.

Have you been cleaning the plastic seals with silicone spray or something? I've had them for a few years and once or twice a year I have to take the back plates off and do a clean up and oil the seals, then they work again.
