Do you have one?

I have not ridden another bike in a long time so I have lost my ability to compare. But in the almost eight years I have owned my Road King I have never had a problem with the way the bike handles. Living in Southern California, we have it all, twisties, sweepers boulevards, highways and freeways and back country roads. The only time I feel a need for one of these stabilizers is when I read all the posts about them and think I might be missing something.

I've ridden 10K miles with mine on and forgot what it was like without it. The speed limit is 130 kph in France. About 80 mph. I decided to take my brace off the other day when I put on a new rear tire. When I would be in long sweepers it would begin wobbling bad. Even on the straight aways any movement in the saddle would cause it to wobble with about 4 or 5 oscillations of the front end before it would calm...that is, if I held perfectly still in the saddle. All adjustments are in spec. so there isn't anything else causing it. I put the brace back on and the problem is solved.

I have had my Bagger Brace for about 8 months. The biggest difference the BB made in the ride is when moving over grooved pavement, tar snakes, or metal grated draw bridges. As far as the over all ride, I found that the biggest improvements came when I ensured that I ran the proper air pressure in both the tires and the shocks, which IMHO was a more significant improvement than the BB. However, with all that being said, I am still going to keep the BB.

Alloy Art on my 01. No problems but wanted it as a precaution.
