Thanks. I need to look and see what I've got on there now, I know the long arm linkage that goes from the front shift arm back to the transmission is an HD slotted type but I think the shift arm itself is the stock arm....so, good idea to replace that with a slotted.

Is there a significant difference between the EZ Brake and the Kuryakyn that I should consider before ordering one or the other?

Thanks,

I have never been a fan of Kury stuff but you would think a brake pedal would have to be constructed well... I have not seen one in person but I have seen the EZ Brake and its a nice piece and nice chrome. But also double the price so it's a personal call.

I've had a variety of Kury items over the years, mostly during my Honda Valkyrie days. Fit and finish and reliability have always been fine.....although some of their stuff, I grant, is kind of cheesy.....like the Harley primary/transmisson case chrome covers that were on my bike from it's first owner.....the pieces were first rate in quality/ design but 3rd rate in taste.

Thanks,

Default brake pedal

thanx for all who replied. I am familiar with all the mentioned ones but wasn't sure if they would be in a lower comfortable posistion. Going to get one soon.

I just added the Kury pedal to mine a couple days ago and got to test it out on a 300 mile run yesterday. Not much difference in length. It just touches the air vent on my Ultra Limited when the vent is open. So it can not be any longer. The big difference is the angle. Much flatter. I can now have my heal on the board and push on the brake. Before I had to list my whole size 14 boot up and put it on the brake. I have much more control now. One tip to installing is to take the three bolts holding the whole bracket out and lower that down just enough to get the cotter key out. Otherwise that would be a bear! I use blue locktite when reinstalling the bolts.

Does anybody know of a manufacturer that makes a brake pedal that sits lower to the floor board. Actually rotating it towards the front of the bike would make it lower.
The Harley Davidson brake pedal assembly part # 42407-87c for a 06 RKC sidecar is shorter.
