Question OEM 2007 Ultra Exhaust

Could Someone plz help
I have a 2007 Ultra Classic I want to change out the OEM exhaust pipes
But there is 2 different exhausts on the bike
On the LS Prt # 65846-07 which seems to have a catylitic converter
On the RS Prt # 65538-07 which does not
the LS is about 4 or 5 lbs heavier than the RS
Does anyone know the reason for this

Thanx

If the LS has a catalitic converter that would be your poundage difference.

why does one pipe have a cat and the other not have a cat.....well I hope the answer is the cat one is used on the pip for the forward cylinder since that cylinder runs cooler, whereas the rear cylinder does not need a cat since the rear cylinder runs hotter.

so you want to know this so you can replace what you have with something simular to what you have? So if you go with SE 4" mufflers, to get to where you are now, you would need a pre-09 slip on (the cat version) and a 09 or later slip on (the non cat version).

I don't that is a stock set-up. I have an 07 Ultra Classic I've owned since new. It does not have a Catalytic Converter on it. I replaced the stock mufflers with Carbon Fiber Jackpot touring ones. Call Jamie at fuel moto, he can help.

My '06 had a converter in the right side muffler only.

Why? Because 80% of the exhaust exits the right muffler on Harley's 2-1-2 OEM exhaust systems. Not enough exhaust come out the left side to warrant its own cat.

BUT that's on the '06. Not sure if '07s are the same. There were a few years that didn't have cats at all prior to the '10s and '11s which now have them in the header pipe instead of the muffler.

Except I have the original Dyno Tuned Jackpot's...Can't go wrong with any of them, but Jamie will be able to give you advice on what you are looking for.

i have (had) an 07 road king. it does not have a catalyst. and according to the manual, there is no difference between the ca, and the non-ca exhaust. only the international ones.

you're numbers are wrong.

65846-07 is the right muffler for FLHR, FLHTCU, FLHTC, FLHT
65538-07 is the left muffler for FLHR, FLHTCU, FLHTC, FLHT

and rps1981 hit the nail on the head. with the stock headpipe and crossover, very little exhaust actually exits the left pipe.
