Yes you need to use something like nero to burn it not windows. and burn it at as slow of a speed as you can.

Wouldn't you get the upgrades from 8.22 included in the 8.25 upgrade?

I did it last Monday just to be up-to-date on the firmware and didn't see any difference.
The instructions say the radio will reboot twice. Mine rebooted only once. Go figure!
I used CDBurnerXP to burn the CD, not Windows Media Player. As for speed, I burned at 20x and the upgrade went fine. It took 5mn or so from start to finish.

Arrow If it ain't broke...

I think I'm through doing the software upgrades, never seen a difference...

Now, if they had an "upgrade" to fix my fading display...

Yes, but everyone was commenting that only VOX was changed in 8.25, I'm coming from 8.19 which means 8.22 is part of the 8.25 upgrade. I was just wondering exactly what 8.22 has to offer outside what's already been revealed.

Based on testimonials already seen here I see no reason to fix it since it isn't broken.

I used the burner in windows explorer and it wouldn't upgrade. Used the free nero burner on slowest setting and it worked great.
