Everyone is going to tell you their bike is the best handling bike Harley makes, that's just our nature.
So if that is the case then to the OP just change the fairing it would be alot cheaper!!

You are going to love the RG. I opted for the RG Custom simply because...
By the way, I was in town last weekend for Memphis in May and LOVED your town.
Froze my *** off, but had a ton of fun.

Get it while you can. I have ridden Road Kings, Ultra's and the RG. I bought a RG. Love the ride, no issues with wind on the fairing, no buffeting, nothing. I have a 2007 and have 25 k on it without a hiccup. I would trade up to a 2011 or 2012 RGU if I had the money to buy an extra. They are just a great build.

MrJ, my 2007 was the same color as yours. I added a Bagger Brace, a large Clearview windshield, a Corbin dualtour seat, Reinhart TDs, SE a/c, HD oil cooler, TTS Mastertune, E3 tires, detachable tourpack. Loved that bike, put 34k miles on it. We got back from a road trip to Canada last August, and I rode over to the local dealer's to test ride the 2011 RGU...dealer shot me a great deal, and I rode the RGU home that night.

This is my 4th Harley, and close to my 30th bike. It's the first one that I've been happier with six months down the road than the day I bought it. I've added a V&H Pro Pipe Chrome with quiet baffle, SE a/c, Corbin dualtour, Kury adjustable tourpack mount, black Heritage style bars, HD elevated passenger footboard brackets, and the $30 HD RG Air Deflectors. Also hiway pegs/mounts off the old bikes - they've moved from my Road King to the RG and now to the RGU.

I'm 6'4, and the '07 RG fit me the best of the '07 line. The RGU is a touch bigger, and fits better. It's heavier, so the ride is smoother. The gearing is different, lower in first so it pulls better from stops. The handling is fantastic - better on the factory originals than the '07 was with E3s and a Bagger Brace. The Brembo brakes are far superior, and the ABS is a bonus. And I've started using 5th gear a whole lot more - didn't realize how much all that racket used to bother me...

This will be my bike until I can't ride it anymore - then I'll drop a 120R in it and add a trike kit....

I am amazed at my 2011 RGU every time I ride it. It handles all of the roads I ride and does whatever I want it to. It fits my riding style and is so smooth and comfortable. Go rent one while you are thinking this over. The seat of your pants will make your final decision for you not what any of us say. Then you have to hope that the one you had your eye on is still there. I thought it over for a while and tried to convince myself that I did not need it. I was wrong! The final decision was just too easy for me. So........what are you waiting for?

I still haven't done anything but I am trying to decide what direction to go. I already have the financing lined up.....they're just waiting on a call.

Pick up the phone, punch the number, say YES, go pick it up, drive it home.

Some Secret Society!! Those days are done. We are just one of the crowd now.

Don't get me wrong you WILL get shot if I catch you trying to steal mine, but they are no longer special as the once were.
