I've bought my first Harley at 35 as I was intimidated by my lack of experience and weight of the bike, so I went for a Dyna. Otherwise my eyes were set on a Road King, maybe a Street Glide.
I guess one of the reasons the Touring crowd is maybe older than some other model' is that you need to have worked for a while to afford one, or that young people haven't got the time to ride long distances as much as if they were retired, so they don't need a big bagger.

That's funny. I'm 50, ride an Ultra Classic don't think anything of it and call a Trike an "old man bike"

46, bought it at 42...would've been a lot sooner (like 15 years ago) if i could've afforded it then. It's a classy ride i don't give a **** what anybody says....And while you are laying back and chillin down the road , your buddy's are getting beat up on sport bikes, hard tails, or else....

Default Age of Touring Riders?

I'm 63. Bought my first touring bike when I was 58 a 2007 Road Glide.
