I take it that the 10, 11 version of most slip ons are freer flowing to accomodate the cat? This in turn allows for more volume?

Had occasion to listen to the new ones by Kury Akyn at the Laughlin RIver Run a few weeks ago. Can't speak for performance, but they sure sounded sweet.

Cardboard, I have the Fuel Moto head pipe on my '11 limited. Put it on for heat management. I put on the 10-11 Stouts thinking they would be close to stock like their web site says. They were loud as hell. Now I'm a quiet pipe kind of guy as I like long days in the saddle. The stouts were off after only 30 miles of riding. They told me they rely on the cats to reduce the sound and I should have gotten the 95-09 model. Stockers back on and frankly I could live with these of something quieter that performs better. The search continues. Let me know if you ever get the 95-09 stouts on and what you think.

The search continues for me as well.I had a set of MRs on my catless 09 and found them to be too loud.So now I have a set of 2011 CVOs and I find them way too quiet, but I like the look.I'm gonna stick with them for awhile and keep an ear to the ground for a set of HD 4" SEs.

Got the Stouts for the 99-09 for when they didn't have the CAtalyst. They ain't as loud.
Glad I called and talked to Supertrapp and read the forums.
Mufflers are rated with CAts and without cats.

Hate to hear you chose the loud ones and are unhappy man.

Go to bike night, or go to the dealer on Saturday morning & listen to bikes in the parking lot. What some guys like here, I didn't like at all after I heard them. Unless you can afford to change pipes 3 times, don't listen to what other people like for themselves --- go listen for what YOU like for yourself before you spend the money.

I go to some biker bars out here in the country, lots of bikes comes from everywhere.
Couldn't find anybody that had heard of stouts, or had them on their bike.
Had to do my own homework. Finally found out the facts.
Heard them on my bike for the 1st time when I got them. Don't know what is different on the inside but I bet you could call Supertrapp and ask.
Tried to make a Video of the pipes, but the noise from the wind overrided the sound of the pipes.
