subscribed....I think I have a leak at the rocker housing gasket, the one that could go in backwards.... even with the pics and write up, it still seems a little daunting tho...don't want to mess up my whole top end and have to pay someone else to put it back together...

I listen to Boogaladude (and a few others,) when the technical stuff is discussed. And I've got a 2000 motor with 100,000 plus miles on it, so Thanks "B" and subscribed....

( God I love the Timken bottom ends!)

What an awesome thread. I just found it and I had to bump it to the top. This thread should definitely be a sticky. Most helpful thread I have ever seen regarding engine work on the twin cams. Thanks. ;-)

Thanks Boogaloodude!! Great post.

On early TC88s can you remove the one rocker assembly bolt (the one that captures the groove in the shaft), remove the shaft and rocker to get the push rods out without removing the entire rocker assembly?

IE just to do cams in a motor that needs no further dis-assembly.
